FAQ

Optical-grade clear plastic?

PC for impact + clarity. PMMA for clarity but brittle. Both standard automotive lighting.

Thermal management?

LEDs require active heat dissipation. Aluminum heat sinks, sometimes thermal grease + fan integration.

Vacuum metallizing?

Aluminum vapor deposition for reflector surfaces. Cheaper than chrome plating, better optical.

IP rating?

IP67 standard for automotive lighting. Sealed against rain, road spray, washing.

Vibration testing?

Lighting must survive vehicle vibration. Robust mounting, fastener torque specs.

OEM / aftermarket?

OEM: PPAP documentation, IATF 16949 compatible. Aftermarket: lower documentation requirements.
