01 · Bicycle components

Bike components we manufacture.

Different cycling disciplines have different requirements — road cycling prioritizes weight, MTB prioritizes strength and impact resistance, gravel balances both. We serve all segments.

Stems

7075 · anodized

Road and MTB stems. Clamp bolt designs, aerospace 7075-T6 for strength-to-weight. 31.8mm and 35mm bar clamps.

Handlebars

7075 · 6061

Premium aluminum handlebars. 7075 for weight-critical road, 6061 for durability MTB.

Cranksets

7075 · machined

CNC-machined crank arms, spider attachments. BCD patterns for standard chainring spacing.

Hubs

6061 / 7075 · bearings

Front and rear hub shells. Precision bearing seats for sealed cartridge bearings.

Dropouts

7075 · welded

Frame dropouts for thru-axle or QR axles. Replaceable derailleur hangers.

Pedals

Al / Ti · spindles

Platform pedals and clipless pedal bodies. Ti Gr.5 spindles for weight reduction.

Brake calipers

7075 · anodized

Mechanical and hydraulic disc brake caliper bodies. Precision piston bores for hydraulic.

Seatpost

7075 · clamp

Aerodynamic and round seatposts. Integrated clamp mechanisms.

FAQ

Bicycle Components questions.

Bicycle components are extremely weight-sensitive. Techniques: 7075-T6 over 6061 (enables thinner walls), topology optimization (remove non-load-bearing material), Ti Gr.5 over 7075 (40% lighter than steel for same strength), forged + CNC vs fully CNC (forging gives stronger material, reduced machining). For a premium MTB stem: CNC 7075 weighs 130g; Ti Gr.5 same geometry 90g; fully optimized Ti stem 70g.
Premium bicycle components require fatigue testing per EN 14764 (road), EN 14766 (MTB), or ASTM F2711 (e-bike). Stems tested to 300,000 cycles at specified load. Cranks tested to 100,000 cycles per ISO 4210. We can design to these specs; customer responsible for test certification. Our experience with aerospace fatigue-critical components transfers directly to bike component design.
Standard anodize colors: silver, black, red, blue, green, gold, orange, purple. Pantone matching available for brand-specific colors. Type II decorative anodize on aluminum. Type III hardcoat available where wear resistance matters (brake caliper pistons, for example). For MTB components, matte finishes preferred; for road, bright finishes common.
Aluminum 7075-T6: cheaper, lighter for bulk parts, can be anodized any color. Limitation: fatigue life. Ti Gr.5: more expensive ($60-80/kg vs $5-8 for 7075), better fatigue life, inherent corrosion resistance, premium aesthetic. For lifetime components (frames, stems): Ti Gr.5 worth it. For components that see crashes (handlebars, derailleur hangers): replaceable aluminum cheaper in long run.
Hub bearing seats: ±0.01 mm diameter tolerance for proper bearing press-fit. Angular alignment between left and right hub bearing seats: ±0.05 mm concentricity. Bearing preload adjustable via shims or adjuster rings. Quality hub performance directly tied to bearing seat precision. We manufacture to required precision with CMM verification.
Boutique bike components: 50-500 per design. Small-batch CNC cost-effective. Mid-volume: 500-5,000 per year. Still CNC-economical with batch optimization. High-volume (>10,000): may transition to hot forging + CNC finishing for cost reduction. We support the full range — prototype through production ramp.
