Drop Shipping questions.

Customer provides branded packaging materials (boxes, labels) or specifies design and we source. We use customer-branded packaging on shipment — looks like shipment from customer's warehouse. Return address customer's. Packing slip with customer's branding. End customer doesn't see CIFProto branding (per customer preference). Setup for branded packaging: one-time cost, then ongoing standard process.
Customs handled by our freight partners (DHL, FedEx, UPS depending on destination). Standard documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, country of origin certificate. HTS classification per part type. Value declaration per actual transaction value. For specific markets (EU CE marking, US ITAR), additional documentation as required. Customer typically responsible for duties at destination unless DDP terms agreed.
Default: returns to customer's warehouse address (customer manages returns directly with end customer). Alternative: returns to us for inspection/refurbishment/rework. Customer specifies preference. Return shipping cost typically customer responsibility. We can integrate return processing into our service for additional fee.
Tracking number provided when shipment dispatched. Customer can: (1) Forward tracking to end customer. (2) Track in our shipping portal (customer access). (3) API integration for automated tracking updates to customer's system. End-to-end visibility from our warehouse through delivery to end customer.
Standard: end customer pays duties at delivery (DAP - Delivered At Place). Some shipments use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) where shipper prepays duties — better customer experience but adds cost. Decision depends on market expectations: business-to-business often DAP, consumer often DDP. We accommodate either approach per customer preference.
